In this production I served as the co-sound designer and A1. Stepping into the role as the A1 allowed me to put into action the skills I picked up while working on past musicals as an A2.
In this particular music number, the goal was to make sure everyone could be heard and understood while still maintaining the commotion that filled the stage.
At this point in the production, we have multiple solos and duets that occur within a short period of time. In order to achieve a balanced mix, I grouped a few members of the cast into the DCAs and mixed via the individual channels on a need basis.
